Happy New Year. We made it! 2020 is behind us and we now continue to care for and keep each other safe, as we, fingers crossed, beat this virus.
Now, I do not need to tell you that 2020 was a year like no other, but I am so happy to say that this didn’t stop LOVE. So many couples took their vows in 2020 and are now living life as a married couple and planning their big celebrations with extended family and friends, for as soon as it is safe to do so! I would like to say a massive congratulations to all newly-weds and another huge congratulations to those who got engaged over Christmas and New Year. Now comes the exciting stage, planning your dream wedding.
Planning for a wedding is an exciting, yet daunting experience and a lot of people find it hard to ask for help. This is because they are not sure what help they need. I find this a lot with my couples, some not knowing where to start, needing help with the suppliers or organization and many just wanting help with the running of their big day.
Most couples I speak to about their wedding day tell me and I quote, ‘I wish I could have had someone to run and look after my wedding day’. As a couple, (usually the ladies), sorry guys, you put so much of your life and effort into planning the most magical day of your lives. Do you really want to be pre-occupied during your special day, worrying whether everything is going plan? Have your suppliers turned up, is the food going to be served on time etc?
I offer three wedding packages as a Wedding Planner, my most popular being on the day coordination. I meet with you 3-4 weeks before the day to run through all your plans, create a detailed schedule and plan the timings for the day, hand over all supplier details and ensure that everything is covered to make sure the day is exactly the way you imagined it to be. This is usually something couples don’t think about, trusting that the suppliers turn up and that the day will run smoothly. I will work in the background to ensure that everything runs efficiently and goes according to your well organised plans.
I will be available in the weeks running up to your wedding day to answer questions and go through any last-minute changes needed to ensure you remain completely stress-free. Your special day is important to me. The wedding planning experience should be filled with excitement, love and joy and your wedding day should be no different.
I am typically on site for 12 hours on your wedding day, to be the main point of contact for all your suppliers. I will ensure everything is set up and ready for your arrival, through until you disappear to celebrate your wedding night. I also include a site visit before the wedding, for us to meet, run through the details and answer any final questions you may have.
